Its a modified GT-S motor in a 2000lb car. As much as the normal GT-S motor sucks, there is nothing wrong with that combination at all; in fact it is actually faster than the elise with the rover engine (euro-spec).

a company was importing Elise's in and swapping in B18's. I dont think Lotus ever sold Elise's with B18's themselves.

They should sell the Elise/Exige here with the V8 from the Esprit, just like from NFS II, or whatever game that was.

yeah, I think the importer was "Sun Auto," but again, I thought they were using B16's not 18's.

Oh well, they should try dropping a K20 in couple Elise's and really let er rip!

The article i read in Sport Compact Car ( a long time ago ) said it was a B18C5 ( ITR MOTOR ) if i remember correctly. Yea, Sun Enterprise or Sun Auto ( er sumthin ) was responsible for the swap.

It can't be the stock 180 hp 2ZZ if it's putting out 190, right ?
*sigh* i wish Toyota sold the MR-S w/the 2ZZ instead of that crap-*** 1ZZ corola motor.
