I hope you have more than one car.
Bootcamp on a Mac is pretty straight forward. It takes a while to get it partioned and install Windows, but once it's all set, you just reboot your Mac into Windows mode and get cracking.

My buddy is gonna throw a tune on for me so I don't actually HAVE to have windows, but I wanted windows so I can mess with tunes and try to learn it. If its really that easy to mess up a tune and screw up your car then I don't want to do it. Would I be okay if I read up some tuning tips so that doesn't happen?

He's got the same car as me so he's just gonna shoot me his open source tune that he has on his and I am considering getting a short ram soon and I don't wanna keep going to him to do the tune. So really, I want to be able to tune it for when I get my short ram and possibly other things later.

You can always brick an ecu when flashing and thats not only limited to opensource. It works the same way with cobb ap. I bricked my ecu before but it was my own fault. Never turn the key off when flashing even if the tune fails midway.
