Built the mount today out of an old gba pelican light I had.
It was purple, painted it black and screwed it into my stereo pocket.
Thanks to PogoShell my GBA can play NSF (8-bit nintendo music), MOD, and SID (c64 music), display bmps and text files, play NES roms, etc.
Upcoming features will include backlite screen, black case, intergrated power (gba turns on when car turns on), less obvious audio cable, and animated logo screen with 3d STi Bunny/2.5RS Logo.
WOOT!

First, you need a flash linker. It will let you backup your games, download games off the net, write your own GBA games, etc. Flash Linker and GBA are the coolest things ever for video games in my book.
I got the 256 meg one from www.lik-sang.com, but www.gamegizmo.com might have better prices or shipping rates.
Once you have that working check out the Pogoshell site @ http://www.obsession.se/pocket/shell.html. It's basically a little GBA OS that someone wrote. It lets you play NES games on your GBA, listed to some music formats, etc. You burn this onto the flash linker card and play it in your GBA.
I've been looking for an easy way to play NSF and SID music in my car for many years. The GBA saves me the hassle of setting up an in-car computer/laptop. I am so happy!

You think that is dorky? I know of two bands (one of them my friend is the bass player for) that play NES songs exclusively.
http://www.minibosses.com/
http://www.2xtreme.net/zero-g/generic/ (my friend is in the new version of this band called "The Advantage")
I've had all the MP3s from these guys for a long time, but it just doesn't match the ability to pick any NES game ever, then play any song from that game.

heh... I don't have either emblems on the outside of my car... but as you can see in the pic, I've got two STi logos and a 2.5RS right there in yo' face.
Let me know if you ever get a ROM writer... I'll dwangle that GBA file over to you with my d-mail (dwangle-mail). Ha Ha!
