Does your Subie pull to the right?

Hi everyone,

My 04Sti always seems to pull slightly to the right. I have had at least 3 different places do an alignment on the car, with some moderate success.

Most places have told me that I should expect my AWD Subie to pull due to the crowing in the road. In many cases, the same road on my wife's accord causes no issues. Maybe something to do with FWD.

Anyways,
I am just wondering if your Subie pulls one way or the other. I don't want to waste $ spending on an issue that cannot be solve.

Thanks!

My car pulled to the right a little, but it was due to low pressure on the passenger rear tire for me. LOL. I drive on 880 a lot, that freeway sucks in general, so I just chalk it up to the crappy roads when it does pull a bit.

I never had a problem with my suby pulling to the right or left... but like Imprezzy said, try checking the tire pressure and the main problem might be the roads...

My van pulls to the right... a lot... but someone also told me that it was dog walking...

Mine does the same thing. According to the alignment machine, I am spot on, but it still pulls ever so slightly.

Check air in your tires

Also, the STi comes with really stiff sidewall tires which makes the car track the lines on the road... The STi does it A LOT, way more then any other car Ive been in

When you get new tires that aren't as stiff as the Bridgestones that you have, you'll notice the problem disappears for the most part... That is, if you get tires that are less stiff. The stock tires are stiffer then HELL, so any line or uneven area of the road and your tire tracks/follows it.

Thanks, All.

I will check my tire pressure tomorrow and take it from there. I am running on Falken 452s - seem to be less stiff that the Toyos that I inherited.

I seem to be OCD about stuff like this, so I appreciate the help!

does it do it all the time? if not its probally from road crown. or it can be a tire pull i would say cross rotate but you got directional tires so maybe try rotating see if it still pulls. also would you happen to have your alignment specs? post them up i can tell you if there should be a pull or not

Yes, it does do it all the time. Though, it is much less pronounced on some roads.

Specs of recent alignment (Thanks for helping)

Caster L: 4.4 R: 4.4
Toe: L: 0.01 R: 0.00
SAI: L: 6.9 R: 3.2

Back:
Camber L: -1.5 R: -1.5
Toe: L: 0.04 R: 0.03

everything looks fine to me.. so its gotta be a tire pull. in order for it to pull the caster/camber slpit would be more then .5 degrees and it would pull to the side of more negative caster or to the side of more positive camber.. and your thrust angle must be as close to zero as possible
