Hi Tony! (This is Dave... I parked next to you at last years BAM car show.)
My gauges worked fine until car was stored over the winter. When I got the car out of storage the gauges would not work and the control unit simply made a continuous, rapid clicking noise and would not light per illumination. I traced back all wires and found that a rat or some other insidious rodent had chewed the boost sensor wire in the engine bay. All other connections were ok and intact. No damages or rodents in the car interior.
I replaced the boost sensor and control unit with no luck. New control unit lights but I bought it used from a nasioc member.
I replaced the meter output wire which had been having a loose pin issue and no luck there either.
I tried different gauges as the start of the series, tried swapping the connections. Gauges do not work, go through opening sequence, nothing. Pins on gauges are intact. I tried one gauge and one sensor at a time. Nothing!
And yes, the meter output is wired to output 2, all gauge sensors are in the proper spaces on the control unit and all wiring to the harness for power, ground, illumination, etc are correct and unchanged from previous working configuration.
The wires for the defi power are on the radio harness and the radio has had no issues throughout this time.
help! ;-)
