To hell with MPG anymore! With gas prices these days i'm thinking about installing a fuel dump on my car too...

I used to measure it though...

I do. And I don't live in the east bay.

I got 21.92mpg on the last tank with my VF22 Stage 4 setup and I-Speed road tuned EcuTek.

I dont keep a log of my MPG, but I do do a quick calc everytime I fillup

22-23 MPG - I have no mods and drive mainly freeway miles

I normally fillup w/ chevron 91 in the east bay

It's easy to check.

1) At the gas station, note your vehicle mileage on piece of paper or reset trip odometer to '0'.

2) Fill your tank until the nozzle shuts itself off automatically. Don't top off!

3) Drive normally (try not to hotfoot it more than normal or drive super conservatively, either, unless you're going for some kinda personal worst or best).

4) Use up at least a half tank of gas although ¾ of a tank or more is better because the more you use, the results will be slightly more accurate than if you just drove around the block and filled up again.

5) Fill up your tank, once again letting the nozzle shut itself off. Note gallons needed to fill the tank.

6) Read miles travelled since last fillup on trip odometer.

7) Divide miles traveled by number of gallons used (at least to nearest tenth). Voilá - the result is your miles travelled per gallon (mpg)! Okay, I use a calculator that I keep handy.
