Retrofit HID's on low beams with current car - never been flashed in a year
Factory HID's on two previous cars - never flashed over the course of 4 years

Maybe cuz they think I'm a gang member

I put in a set of 8k HIDs and kind of adjusted the beams up and I got flashed occasionally. When ever I got flashed I thought to myself, "YOU WANT PRAY GAME?!" I and would turn on my high beams and leave them on until I passed the flasher.

Now after I installed my coils the car has kind of a rake to it and the lights are really low. I have yet to be flashed since the coils.

People flash you because your headlights are incorrectly adjusted. So, in response, you full beam them. Wow, how considerate.

I have a question regarding this. Anyone that has an answer would be greatly appreciated thanks!

My car came stock with projectors but not HIDs, If I put HIDs in will it still scatter light even though I have projectors? Do the HID housing and projectors differ from the halogen housing with projectors? Thanks again!

Uh, please tell me you're kidding? You purposely put in brighter lights so you could **** people off? When they say something you go overboard and keep your high-beams on? You do realize that's illegal and could pose a huge safety risk (blinding someone!).

(PS: Yes, it's a moving violation)

do the squirrel finder mod to your halogen projectors and it cuts the glare down a ton. i did it to my09 halogen projectors with 5000k 35w HID's and have never been flashed or had anyone say anything to me.

I'm going to start saving for this from "theretrofitsource.com".

Morimoto Mini bi-xenon projectors w/ clear lenses (low and high beam)
Brand new Matsu****a Gen IV ballasts (OEM Subaru - will bolt up to the housings for a clean install)
Morimoto 35w D2S bulbs (4300K/5000K/6000K)
Retro-quick brackets for 06+ Impreza (06-10 use the same projectors)
H11 Relay wire harness

The projectors are equivalent or even out-do the tsx ones and the OEM subaru hid ballast sounds good to me.

The text in red shall be considered a joke. I thought the line "YOU WANT PRAY GAME" would have been a good indicator of that, but I guess it didn't go over very well.

In that thread there was a guy that did a comparison between the light output of the Halogens compared to the HIDs and the beam patterns were strikingly similar. I figure as long as the HIDs aren't emitting an excessive amount of lumen more than the Halogens and properly leveled then no harm no foul.
