Do I get the title?

I just, *finally*, put a stereo in my '04 STi. Is anyone with an STi that still is stereo-less?

So, what kind of stereo did you get? Must've been something cool if it can convince you to not just listen to engine and road noise while you're driving.

Krinkov, yeah, got it from the dealer in April 2004.

Imprezzy, I got a Clarion VRX765VD (I think that's the model) with some MBQuarts in the doors. No sub, yet. As to driving with just engine and road noise, well, windows down and foot in. Mmmm.... Makes me wanna go for a drive.

just curious how much you paid.
i went in for a sub estimate and it ended up being $450 at the cheapest. wiring, amp, install other crap they tach on seems like theyre just ripping you off in audio.

$1000 is needed for bottom of the line but decent "system" right?

I didn't get an estimate for a sub. I'm not really interested in one right now. Running the wires for a sub isn't too hard, definitely something you can do in your driveway. Basically you just need to run wires from your head to the trunk (if that's where you're putting it), and get some decent power in there as well. I wouldn't have a shop do it, only because I'd prefer to save that money.

If I didn't get home from work at 3am I'd switch to something louder than my Stromung.
