heres' what i got when i tried to renew my registration online:

Your online registration cannot be accepted at this time because your vehicle's status changed after the registration renewal notice was mailed to you.

Never had a problem. You'll probably have to sit in line at the DMV for this one. Try to make an appt.

Be sure not to be late, I was almost a month late (expired on 07/02 and I came in on 08/01) they charged me $200 in late fees... made my registration $549....

Did you change your address after you received your renewal notice? If so, that may be the reason why you aren't able to renew online.

So just do it by mail or make an appointment at your local DMV.
