Yeah, cause maxing the duty cycle on the injectors is safe... also maxing the voltage readings from the MAF and having the fuel pump is safe as well.

So basically, if he were to get extra air, the ECU couldn't account for it, and he couldn't add any fuel against it, and he'd end up getting detonation at some point. He thinks that cool.

and you care THAT MUCH about the amount of power he's putting down??? 551whp doesn't mean **** if your motor has the potential of nuking itself.

Those dudes from Topspeed (in fact he posted in the thread) did 600whp because they were waiting for the motor to build to swap in a build block, so they were just pushing it for fun.

Same with Al, he's plenty rich and he's just doing this for fun before the big build

 

I misread the post, i thought he stated he had not dropped any custom maps on his ecu and was stating it was a stock rom. Misread, my bad.
