Digital Camera... borrow

I know it's a lot to ask but I need a decent digital camera for 2 or 3 weeks.

Anyone have one gathering dust. Talking like a cannon xti or something like that. Nothing cooky but I don't need a professional level camera either.

Just need it for a few weeks. Won't put that many clicks on it.

When do you need it by and where are you taking it? I need mine for the Scottish games Labor Day weekend. No big plans between now and then though.

Sony A700 (12MP)
50mm macro lens
50mm prime lens (new)
18-200 zoom
75-300 telephoto zoom
External flash
3 4GB compact flash cards
Backpack style bag that fits everything... it's on the smaller size for me, may be too small for you. I have another bag, but its big and bulky.

Ah damn. Any chance you can leave it with someone.. maybe another ic member or a family member. That would be perfect.

It's got to be between 5 and 10megapixels so that's perfect. And I'm a nikon guy so that's perfect.

I can all of my info with you via PM or email... address, p#, etc.

I was going to suggest that, but places like adorama and borrowlens.com only really have the higher end professional equipment. Also, the costs would add up to nearly the cost of just buying an entry level DSLR. Thats for adorama and borrowlens.com however, I don't know what shutterbug's rates are like.

yeah renting is kind of pointless. Between gas and the rental I'd be out too much money to make it worth it.

I need to locate a camera today. grrrrrrr.

Damn it I need to get a camera. Grrrrr.

Gonna miss an opportunity that I greatly need. I'd even let someone hold on to my 35mm as collateral if need be. The lense and body cost me about $900. Not worth that anymore but it's worth that to me.
