You guys are making this ethnic and that is not what it is. Us older people move slower even if our cars are faster. It takes me a while to get it that I need to slow down around the corner. So you may find me running off a cliff because it takes me so long to understand what the sign means.

So none of that ethnic stuff, please.

I think the cool thing about this site is people young and old 17-60+ can get together and chit chat about one common thing. Age doesn't really play a role (unless it's in the politics forum, or something about opinions).

I think segregating by age would hurt the site.

I'm not making this an ethnic thing, but I did see clubs for WASP when I was high school *shrug* Then again, I graduated in 2000.

*scratches head* So, actually you're suggesting a meet, which includes a drive, where people would be separated out into groups according to driving ability (and possibly sign-recognition ability?), NOT according to age group. That's what I just read.

Many of the drives are organized this way already. We're all just as concerned w/ safety as we are w/ fun on these spirited runs.

Btw, I'm an ol' fogey, too! Though folks think I'm a young whipper-snapper... If it ain't my typical Asian genetics, it's the poor social development & the low level of maturity I'm cursed with.

That's because it's considered a religion based club... PROTESTANT.

but on topic.

Like I said..you want an age based meet then make one. But the best part about this whole deal is I can sit down with a 20 year old on one side of the table and a 45 year old on the other and we can talk until the lights turn off...or on depending on where we're at. It's not a dating service.

Just gonna tell you that if you make a meet EXCLUDING anyone specifically it's just rediculous. Old or young.

Don't want any young ones then start a meet designed around what and older crowd would like...say a wine bar. Or for the young ones do something like at a bubble place or starbucks or something. But don't get pissy if someone outside of your age range shows up because that just means they're into the same stuff.

Besides...the young ones can learn from the old ones and the old ones can learn from the young ones.

I'm just stating the name for the sake of it having an origin that has nothing to do with what it is supposed to be today.

Oh and the oldies vs youngins, Subaru owners are all ages from 16 to 60. On my commute to work, I see a Blue MY04 STi with a grey headed driver. Maybe it's natural hair color, maybe he's just older than me. I don't know. I got nothing.

I'd rather be an old fart than a kid because of the sterotypes of spoiled kids with fast cars =P. And yes, I'm spoiled I'll admit it . Although I buy all of my mods and pay for insurance, thats nothin compared to what my rents put down.

You guys are awesome. I have never seen people so united.

What other controversial issues can I stir? How about coilovers vs not. Or how about 17 vs 18.
