Do you guys know if Ron Price subaru closed it's doors? I searched the forums and no one's mentioned it, but I was looking into getting warranty work (after Santa Cruz called and suggested I try them first since I'm in SF), but their website is not working, and they aren't listed on the Subaru home page. Are they officially closed?

I wonder why they aren't listed on the Subaru.com page? I read somewhere the owner of Ron Price dropped themselves from being an authorized VW dealership, maybe thats what they did with Subaru too? I'll give them a call after I get out of the library.

Umm, ok, they changed their name to Putnam Subaru Service Facility. I don't know which dealership they are associated with, if any. I'm just not going to risk going there, and head to Capitol Subaru.

 

if you want service at ron price, you have to call their downtown SF office, which you can find on google maps.

 

I heard they aren't closed YET, but that they would be closing soon. Just what i heard.

Ron Price sucks anyway... I am glad that they closed down... They treated me like crap when I was looking to buy my first car, even worst than Stevens Creek!

 

I'm pretty sure they are gone as they are off the list from Subaru.com, their phone line has been disconnected, their service department has changed names, and as someone said, no more cars in the lot.

 

I drove by Ron Price a few minutes ago...there's about 20 or so cars in the front lot but it looks dead inside.

 

Dammit! <- I only say that because I hate one of the mechanics there. Everything thing else is neutral since I don't shop there.

 

They've been closed for a week or so. Supposedly the city bought the place.

 

yea there is a service shop downtown SF, but the dealership sales floor is basically empty. pretty much closed..drive past it all the time, live up the street

 

I got a phone call yesterday from Putnam Subaru. The lady on the phone told me about Ron Price going bankrupt and how Putnam has taken over their service department in San Francsico. I asked her if they plan to start selling Subies and she said yes. They eventually plan to open a Putnam Subaru dealership in Burlingame.
