I'll give you the maritime stuff... but Israel is coastal they have plenty of practice.
Close quarters and urban combat - it would swing the other way. IDF is used to fighting room-to-room. May have the most experience with guerrilla warfare and dealing with suicidal combatants.
Krav Maga (all things equal) I don't think can be equaled as a martial art. WAY more real world application than any other "modern" art. I studied Karv for awhile, it's brutal. Deals with weapons in ways other arts don't. Deals with mental conditioning in a way other arts don't.
Both forces use the same basic weapons, and very similar tactics.
I think the experience level of the IDF special forces gives them an edge

Ah weak - I don't think Israel has really deployed the Galil in a long time.
Not that it really matters with .223 Carbines anyways. Who's to say an M4 is more deadly than a TAR or a AK74. All the same round; similar rates of fire, similar accuracy at close range.

My buddy who graduated SQT and became a SEAL in 2007 told me, every SEAL in the teams has been deployed downrange at least once.

Im surprised that it was so close because the SEAL training is INSANE. I know the Israeli training is really outstanding and they are great soldiers, but a SEAL is a different breed capable of just about anything.

Forget the computer simulation part of the show. If you watched the shooting segments where the 2 teams went head to head, the SEALs were clearly the better shooters.
They shot faster and more accurately with both pistols and rifles.

Meh - the M4 had an optic, the Galil looked like iron sights. I'm betting that with a TAR (with its integrated optic) that shooting would be on par
Bruce - keep in mind, we send Seal teams to Israel for training.
Israel is compulsory service (draft), which means they can draw the best of the best off a much broader sample than the US.
Again - with two armies who use similar training, similar weapons, similar tactics... I'm not surprised it was close.
The Symtex explosive was pretty damn impressive. The cell phone bomb going off in that controlled a manner was cool

Bottom line was that the Seals were DEAD nuts accurate with all weapons. I think it should have been more lopsided. But they are both quality units.
They fought in what would have been the best case for the Israeli's... CQC and they still lost. No snipers. No support. No sea. Etc.
