Daytona 500 - Anyone admit they are watching?

Yeah, I know you're all too good for NASCAR, but come on, it's the Daytona 500?

First, I gotta say who picked that guy to sing the national anthem? That totally sucked. The worst performance I can remember at a high profile event. Especially something like the Daytona 500. They needed someone who could throw down and kick it's *** and he sang it like he was at a funeral? WTF?

Anyway... GO MARK MARTIN!

And if he can't win, GO LITTLE E!

NASCAR is only good for the spectacular and horrific crashes that happen I use to like watching the older days of NASCAR back when they were real street cars with a roll cage and some motor work done to them. Not this everyone run a tube frame chasis and same outside metal and put some stickers on it to be a race car crap. Should change the name to something else. I will stick to Grassroots racing instead like USTC, even though I like ALMS

NASCAR is cool to watch it usually puts me to sleep though, then I just rewind it and try to find the wrecks

^yeah it was cool 20 and 30 years ago...and 50 years ago on sand and dirt!

I'd watch if they used Corvettes, GT40's etc and they actually added a few right turns.

I would def watch if they used cool cars...not Taurus Camry or Monte Carlo's (how dare they use the name Monte Carlo) and raced at Sears Point, LAguna Seca etc.
