Here is a small contribution to the community. It is a video clip of how my exhaust sounds. It is a Espelir JGT500 on an Impreza L (2.2L). Check it out. I know that the SD website also has a sound clip that they recorded off a WRX wagon(?). Something like that.

You should of heard it when I had the Borla headers on. That was... WOW!! Not so loud anymore since I sold them.

Yeah... it was that loud. Just ask SkylineR35GTRx and the other Davis peeps that have heard it.

 

beasty exhaust, but youve got to be loosing some torque... 2.2liter engine with a 3.xx exhaust catback? do you get a lot of backfires???

 

The answer would probably be yes... but according to rau, he saw that I was making at least 124ft-lbs on the GST dyno.

At the time on the dyno, I was running a Borla header, and Catback. The thing was that the 2.25 out of the CAT goes out a little bit, like 2 or 3 inches which then starts to become 3" and is 3" all the way back.

No backfires here. Not that I know of.

 

i only had 2.5 inch catback with a three inch tip on my rs and i thought i was pushin it lol. your L was loud at dyno day though

 

Yeah... I miss the loudness... It is all gone now since I sold the headers.
