i want to start urban riding.

what kind of bike do i need to get?

i was really into bmxing and kinda out of it now. i have tons of bmx bikes but want a diff type to get into street/urban riding.

anybody help me out?

what size are you? i have a kona stuff that i've been thinking about selling. Its a smaller sized frame though...but the whole bike weighs 25lbs...that's with a 125 fox RLC...so slap on a rigid fork, and the bike would weigh 22-23lbs.

Its head tube angle is pretty steep, just look up trials geometry and then look thru frames. or buy a prebuilt one. I'll dig thru some bookmarks for you.



search "stock trials" mod trials are the BMX looking trials bikes.

haha first time i've heard that song.

webcyclery has the best parts selection if i recall.

and just use a regular hardtail frame until you get better...unless you have the money to commit to a real trails bike!

any triangular shaped frame will do (opposed to a diamond shaped frame like most bikes are)
Like this one, where the top tube is almost even with the stays...so you can hop up stuff and scrunch your body up as much as you can.
(which is why you see cross country mtn bike riders eat it, because their seat is so high, one bump will buck them off lol.)

yea hopefully i can find someone to trade my bmx bikes for one of those babies.

i dont need anymore bikes in the garage.. at one point had 5, but just down to 2.

what kind of BMX bike? my friend has a few santa cruz bike frames, maybe a chameleon which would be perfect for trials/all around riding.

that was one of the most insane things I have ever seen. I wonder how many broken bones and smashed nuts it took for him to get to that level...

WOW. that was one of the coolest videos i've ever watched. I mountain bike and occasionally do small dirt jumps, but I REALLY want to do that now. SO badass. thats a sweet bike too
