I guess i have the opposite story. I hate when people seeing merging onto the freeway but dont let you in. They either speed up making you slow down or they speed up, switch lanes, then switch right back infront of you when you get in. Thats when I decide to have some fun and speed up infront and make them slow down then speed back up if they try to pass me again. AN EYE FOR AN EYE. Yes im mad.

i have to go to small claims cuz a guy turned into me over a SOLID white line! i had a witness (who was my friend) and they still dont say it was his fault! WTF!!! not to mention the dumb cop wrote the police report down all wrong too, scrambled info=useless for me in court

at least now ill get cash in hand if/when i win

A woman (and I use the term loosely) in a beater red minivan deliberately tried to squish me and my motorcycle between her and another vehicle this morning.

I was coming down Page Mill Road from 280 into Palo Alto. For some reason, the traffic was badly backed up so I was carefully sharing down the middle (~ 5mph). This woman in the right lane was busy trying to prevent cyclists coming past in the cycle lane on the right when she saw me. She sticks her arm out of the window and swings her van left across the road to block me. Fortunately, the guy in the left lane saw what she was up to and gave me room to get past. I gave her a cheery wave and carried on.

There are some real nutters out there...

 

yea, i get that all the time on my bike... the main reason being that a lot of cagers don't know that lane sharing is LEGAL!!!

I got an answer for that one, too. A friend of mine who rode a crotch-rocket in college shared this one with me.

1) Collect old, used spark plugs.

2) Snap off the ceramic insulator from the metal shell.

3) Discard metal shell.

4) Carry a couple of busted spark plugs in your jacket breast pocket (CAREFUL!).

5) When someone screws with you on the freeway, pull in front of them.

6) Reach into breast pocket and retrieve broken spark plug.

7) Casually toss the ceramic piece over your shoulder and gun it!

Even if the douchebag gets your license plate and rats you out to the cops, they'll have a hard time proving that whatever shattered their windshield wasn't just a piece of road debris!

I can personally vouch for the 'ceramic breaking glass' trick... some a-hole did it to my '66 Corvair Corsa convertible in the Auto Shop parking lot back in high school. Only caught the R/R quarter window though.

 

bump, i have the damaged wheel. should i make a poll on what i may or may not do w/ it considering that i have the plate number and stuff like that is public record :banana:
