What kind of paint should be used on the exhaust? Some kind of fancy high-temp stove paint? Does it matter?

OH what the hell? I hope mine isn't that serious. I thought it was just a 10 dollar fee.

Hey was it only a no license, or also speeding? If the cop wrote your birthdate down wrong, you can prob get away with not having to pay the fine if there is a judgement call by the cop. Make the cop feel stupid. Tell the judge, that if the cop isn't even competent enough to not write the correct birthdate, he prob was having a bad day and mistook your speed of 78 with your speed of 68 or something of that nature. It worked for my friend.

Nope, I wasn't speeding, nor did I have music turned up or anything else suspicious. He sent me a corrected ticket in the mail, which unfortunately came to my parents house before I could intercept it. My landlord just got a ticket in front of the house for not curbing his wheels, so I'm extra careful now. I've had more than enough warning tickets to complain.

Two doors down the street from the house I grew up in, lived a cop and his son who was my age. His dad has been poking his face in my business for a while, so I'm used to the harassment. No front plate tickets in front of my house and him talking to my parents about the under 18 provisional lisence rules and other stuff last year. Coincodently the same time I got my Suby.

Loud exhaust is different than modified exhaust (or emissions). One is correctible, one is not.

I believe CVC 27157 is illegal emissions and must be tested at the state ref.
CVC 27151 is loud exhaust, correctible.

Depending on which violation the first poster has, will determine if it's correctible or not.

If it's just loud exhaust, you can just get it tested and u should pass as long as it's only a hks catback and nothing else. I went to the state ref to test out my hks hi power and passed (although it was near borderline...somewhere in the 92.7-93.7 dB range)

I don't think there's a 271516, but it's most likely 27151. If it is then u can just get it signed off by switching out.
