Than i went to the court and they said this is not a correctable violation so thats what happened to me. The cop thought it was a fix it ticket but it wasnt.

Two doors down the street from the house I grew up in, lived a cop and his son who was my age. His dad has been poking his face in my business for a while, so I'm used to the harassment. No front plate tickets in front of my house and him talking to my parents about the under 18 provisional lisence rules and other stuff last year. Coincodently the same time I got my Suby.

Loud exhaust is different than modified exhaust (or emissions). One is correctible, one is not.
I believe CVC 27157 is illegal emissions and must be tested at the state ref.
CVC 27151 is loud exhaust, correctible.
Depending on which violation the first poster has, will determine if it's correctible or not.
If it's just loud exhaust, you can just get it tested and u should pass as long as it's only a hks catback and nothing else. I went to the state ref to test out my hks hi power and passed (although it was near borderline...somewhere in the 92.7-93.7 dB range)
On the ticket it says 271516 Vc Modified exhaust, the cop said put my stock on and let an officer sign it off. Man I hope I hope I dont have to get tested at the state ref.

I don't think there's a 271516, but it's most likely 27151. If it is then u can just get it signed off by switching out.
