sup everyone,
been awhile since i've been on here ever since i let go of my bugeye wagon... i think its been a couple of years and i've moved onto "bigger and better" cars, but now that i realize it i miss it a lot, haha. i've went from cars in the Built Not Bought to the Ready to Go package and nothings really quenched my thirst like the wrx, the way i saw it , it was the best of both worlds in comfort and performance. Been slowly looking for another but not sure i'm ready to dive back in... i thought i told myself that i was out of the game but damn it, it keeps reeling me back in...haha!!!
here's a pic of my old baby, damn i miss her...

I was out of the game for a few years and now I'm back in it.
I just picked up a 2010 STi and it's great although I don't like it as much as my 03 bugeye. I just loved something about that car.

I miss my STi several times. Then I think of traffic times and am happy for my Tribeca. Depends on what year you want but there are some nice deals out there.

I love my GD (2007 STi). I've driven the new STi's and WRX's and they just aren't the same as the older models... The old models were unfiltered and raw, the new ones are far too tame.

I've owned a 2000 2.5RS (with countless mods), a 2006 WRX, and a 2007 STi and I gotta say, the STi is by far my fav. My old RS was sooooo fun for it's time and is def the car Ive had the most memories in, but it was a little too "raw and untamed"... For the 19 year old Daniel, it was great but as Ive gotten older I needed something a bit more refined and the GD was just that... The GD is still very raw with a lot of power but it's a bit roomier, more forgiving in terms of suspension and handling, and comes with all the good go fast bits from the factory. I hated the aftermarket world back in 2000-2004ish, everything worked great until you put like 10k miles on it and then it would break... One of the reasons I bought my STi was because I was sick of aftermarket stuff breaking all the time. Factory parts are better, especially during the long run. I learned a lot from my RS, I learned how to track it, how to drive on the edge which was perfect for graduating to my STi. The RS was a great learning car for me but stock VS stock, the STi just gets the edge over it...
Comparing the GD STi vs the new hatch STi is like comparing two totally different things. If I didn't know the hatch STi was an STi, I wouldn't have know it was one... The GD is very stiff and aggressive whereas the new hatch STi is very ordinary and lacks the aggressive edge that the GD had. I really don't ever want to get rid of my 07 STi because I know that the hatch STi isn't going to fullfill my need like my current STi does.
Perhaps the new model year (2014?) will be more grass roots and more raw and like the old GC8 (only updated) and less like a Ford Taurus, only then will I buy a new Subaru Impreza.
One thing I REALLLLLLY think Subaru should do is follow in the footsteps of Ford and Chevy by creating modern cars based on old retro cars, like the new Disgustang and the Camaro. Imagine if Subaru came out with a modernized 22B wide body GC8-type car? 320hp, wiiiiide fenders (lets say 265's can easily be mounted), lighter, and coupe body shape (shaped like the GC8). That would sell soooo fast and I would buy one in a second, and I now you guys would too!

1988 FC RX-7, took about 5 mos from rotory->LS1

girl #2

i sold the FC to a friend since my lungs couldn't take it anymore (neither could the gf) and he's a close friend so i can borrow it whenever...
the Z isn't as cool as the FC and too many old people talk to me so its weird(LOL), plus its a little better for me to show up to work without smelling like i showered in a smog station... getting bored of it too so i'm not sure... again, suby is the best of both worlds, haha
Huck - your bugeye's super clean!!! i've been looking for a aspen white bugeye sedan, and if i were to get another it would definitely be up to those specs.
i'm glad everyone feels the same way i do, i'm glad i'm not the only one, haha!
