yea he hit the wall and it broke the gas filler thing and thats wht caused it. they said he will be alright and hes at the hospital now. the Corvette team guy said hes welcome back and they expect him to try and compete in the next race.

 

that really sucks....well maybe we will get to see what he is made of next huh....

hes an *** and his presents made the lemans corovette team look bad.. i was there yesterday and i have NEVER seen so many people surrounding the pitts fence just gazing at dale, and he didnt even blink at his fans which were mostly kids yelling out his name in excitment.

then again at the pitts with all the kids and fans around he walked out of the trailer didnt wave look or even nod at his fans... he just got into the cop car and left

with all that attention it must get annoying. i would just want to leave too and i know pretty much everyone would after wht he gets. i bet the corvette team like sit he gets them alot of publicity.

 

i just didnt like the fact that he doesn’t understand what LeMans and scca is all about.. its about the up close and personal experience, where you can go, talk to drivers sit, touch the cars and feel welcomed...

i know hes a top NASCAR driver but this aint nascar and id like to keep it that way... ive been going to these events for over 4 years seen the sport evolve alot but the attitude and atmosphere has always been welcoming to the spectators...

nah i doubt it.. that team is sponsered by chevrolet they dont care or need Dale or any other hot shot.

chevrolet is a big sponser and as long as they are around and handing down the money im sure they really could careless.

man you guys are dicks. Guy gets in an accident and you start trashing him. I am not really a nascar fan. I find it boaring. But for the pure fact of human decency I wouldn't talk **** about someone that just burned their face and could have been killed very easily.

I bet dale could put the smack down on any one of you bastards in any kind of racing. There's a reason he makes a couple million a year to drive cars.

Being famous I highly doubt you guys would be running around talking to every kid or doing everything right all the time. He was out of his element and probably keeping it low key for the sake of his team mates and the sake of everyone there. He was not there ot try to steal the show and take over everything. He was probably trying to deflect attention to other great drivers..how about that angle.

And as for his team and the other drivers...most of them were stoked that he was bringing extra attention to their very OVERLOOKED circuit. There was a huge article on it actually. Corvette was glad to have him.

Man I'm sorry for being a touchy ***** but I'm just sick and tired of all the **** talking I see around here. Go get into a corvette with twice the horsepower you have... and see how many laps you can make it without wrecking it.

Nobody here was in that car or has any clue what really caused that wreck. Kinda sucks that a guy is trying to improve his skills on road corses and he gets torn up for it.

 

lol, i feel bad for dale's accident, but couple things :
1. being a highly noticed and famous nascar driver/public figure does not give you the right to not acknowledge the crowed and fans...no matter how annoying it is to have millions of ppl call out your name, it comes with the territory...you acquire that celebrity status you have to deal with everything that surrounds it.

2. Did he actually hit the wall? Maybe the videos that the news aired didnt show it, but it seemed like he just spun out after taking that s-turn and then all of a sudden the car went up flames...of course the fuel tank was ruptured, but there was definitely something wrong with that car...maybe the fire was too much, but dont they have interior fire extinguishers for all race cars like that??? I didnt see anything go off..

all in all, glad he is okay, but hahaha maybe he should stick to the circle lol...jk..

 

The thing is, we don't know if he was doing it because he's being an *** hole or if he was doing with good intentions.

Maybe he kept his head down for reasons I stated earlier. He didn't want to be a specticle and step on the other circuit drivers toes. He didn't want to take away from them or his team mates. He just wanted to be a driver and learn a thing or two. See what I'm saying?

There are lots of reasons to do things like that besides just being a dick.

 

Sunday was not a good day for team Chevy... just glad everyone is alright.
