That has the new V8, right? Damn nice ride. Glad to see he opted for the traditional transaxle, I still prefer that, no matter how slick the SMG box is.

unfortunately, the Alpina Z8 Roadster sucks, it has the regular (not the E39 M5) V8 motor, an automatic tranny, and basically a bunch of dress-up stuff...

Alpina ruled back in the days, these days, meh

nope. 503hp V10, 7 speed SMG. im trying to see if i can bring visitors when i go to BMW's Ride and Drive in SF this year for the E60 M5.................

They use the same auto that comes with a 540i and an X5....not even beefed up for the extra power.

im not sure all of the Z8 Alpinas are auto.........

i saw a silver one on the delearship aith the M5 motor and a 6 speed. maybe it was a Euro model..................

Alpina badging, and 19" rims ( 5 star stlye, and triple spoke ) and also the fact that i work there.................

I think he was asking if it was the new m3 with the V8, but it is not. Same inline 6 with 333 hp. Somewhere around 280 whp.

The radar didn't come with it. It should have for the price. He was tired of worrying about the police with his last 3 cars, so he decided to get the radar for this car.

Looks good.. just hard to find BMW drivers willing to drive them. One of the guys at work has a 2004 M3.. he literally has no idea what he has... he just likes the way it looks

Yeah, that's what I wanted to know. I thought this year's got the V8?
