Custom steel brackets? Shop recommendation?
I guess there are bunch of places that can make something like that. I just don't know any of them. I need a few steel L and Z shape bracket for an oil cooler support. Any good inexpensive places close to Santa Clara?

If I were to guess, one of the reasons would be the strength and heat dissipation properties in steel are slightly superior to those of the same specs in aluminum.
Perhaps it has something to do with the material in the oil cooler.
Of course, it might be because different grades of steel are cheaper...and we all know how cost conscious some people are...especially those who can't be bothered driving more than 5 miles for the product.
However for a bracket that is not really a concern to ether side. Really from the sound of it, without seeing the pictures, all this needs is some plumbers tape, some self tapping bolts, and a little planning.

They are metric though but I can recalculated if that matters.Other oil cooler setups are using steel bracket. That's why I chose steel. I guess aluminum is also easier to bend.
