Crazy evo drivers... Trying to take the quik way down.

Car Plunges 200 Feet Off Road In Oakland Hills
OAKLAND (AP) ― An Alameda driver and his passenger are lucky to be alive after their car plunged 200 feet off a road in the Oakland hills.

Twenty-five-year-old Eamon Kelly says he pulled to the side of the road to let another car go by on Grizzly Peak Road on Tuesday afternoon. When he tried to return to the road, the rear end of his car fishtailed toward the hillside and the vehicle fell down a 45-degree embankment.

The red Mitsubishi sedan came to a stop when it struck a 3-foot-wide tree stump.

Kelly says he managed to climb back to the road to call for help.

He escaped with just some bruises, and his passenger suffered a non-life-threatening head injury.

haha i just read that on Yahoo.

yeah...an EVO pulling over to let someone by...pfff...

"well it was wet out and i wanted to get sideways in a turnout and i flew off a cliff." Of course they dont tell the truth, which they shouldnt...

any crash that happens in the mtns should be blamed on a deer or tree for driving and keeping our hobby low key

yeah no S. dont tell the cop you were doing anything related to speeding having fun.

Same with idiots who call a tow truck...which lead to CHP... to pull them out of a ditch or off the side of a cliff. Just because you have AAA doesnt mean you should use it! I have friends with trucks and tow straps.

But stupid Bay Area kids go up the mtn and fly off the road and have to blame it on letting a 90hp car pass them in a turnout! an EVO at that!

That's a bad road for a rookie to go up just after its been raining. May look dry but you hit one slick patch in the middle of one of those turns and...well ask Mr. Kelly how it feels.

I have a couple friends that have suffered the same fate, 200+ foot cliffs and everyone walked away for the most part.

Subies and EVO are very safe cars.

They didnt tell CHP anytihng, those are OPD controlled roads.
