So I really need the passenger rear door glass for a 2004 wagon.



Luckily they didn't get my system...yet. I pulled it out until I can get everything fixed and I've been rolling my second car the last couple days. She isn't too stoked to be driving 100 miles a day.

So please keep your eyes pealed for weird ads on craigslist or Ebay selling a bunch of CD's with no cases....punk,country, rap..you name it. 150 cd's. And for someone selling the face plate for an Alpine 9815.

i have a window for sale from my 02 wrx sedan. they should be the same but im not too sure. It also has 25% tint on it from omega. It can be removed of you dont want it. li dont know how much to sell it for yet but make me an offer and let me know.

I wish you best of luck finding your self a window. Your loss is like what my gf went through when our house was robbed before we moved in. around 150 CDs gone, and everything we had downloaded too.

My advice is rip all CDs when you buy them to MP3 and DO NOT carry them in your car, get an iPod or CD MP3 player and just keep the burned discs in your car.

Yeah..the rip MP3 deal....I had planned to do it this weekend at my girlfriends house. I even filled my case up so I'd have more cd's to do. I had like 20ish slots empty that I filled thursday night. They got me friday.

AzN...yeah I have a w7. They could have got it. It was not bolted in like it should have been. They could have gotten a lot. I had a check book. A wallet with a chevron card and a couple other cards in it. My amps. My screen...etc. Most of that stuff is sitting in my room now and won't be going back in until I can get a better alarm and get that sub box bolted in so they can't steal it without stealing my car. So in that regard...I am very thankful. Ask my coworkers..I mean I was laughing about it this morning...I mean what can a guy do. Can't do anything but feel sorry for the sad life those son of a *****es must live that they have to risk going to prison on a felony theft charge for a bunch of CD's they don't listen to. Retarded.

So next time around I'll have a video feed into my office...that pretty much shares a wall with the parking garage....****ty thing is that I'm pretty sure I heard my alarm go off around 3 in the afternoon....I park next to a window that's on my side of the building.

so yeah..I'm thankful. I'm really more pissed at how little they got. I mean if you're gonna bust my window like some ***** as kid then at least steal my damn car. Make it worth my time and energy to deal with it. This is the 4th damn time I've had to deal with this crap...and the first time they were rookie enough to bust a window. I mean any retard can pop a door open on our cars...they are about as easy to steal as civics.



so yeah..window...I am just gonna order it from the dealership this morning. $175 and put it in with the assistance of a friend of mine.

Sorry to hear that man the same thing happened to my old Integra. Plus to make matters worse those ****tards didn't even steal anything and that pissed me off the most. BTW where did you purchase your window from? I need to replace the passenger window on my 03 sedan. Nobody broke in or anything but the thing is scratched to ****.

 

I am gonna order it from the dealership. I figured I won't save much going to an outside source so might as well just suck it up and get the real deal. $175 from SC Subaru...Santa Cruz.

Before I order it I'm gonna call my body shop and see if they can hook it up..I'll let you know.

I had the same deal as you with my driver rear door window....someone window blew up on it and it's got little nicks all over it...same with my windshield...which I just noticed...I'm going to see if I can get it added onto the claim.

So I call the management of the parking garage. Tell them I spoke to the police. The police told me they would go by the garage and talk to them about the last couple months of recurrent theft problems...all busted windows. and about them needing security. I also made it known that they wouldn't want a bad reputation as a garage and it would look bad for the museum to get this kind of attention.

She tells me they are having a meeting....tomorrow...that was yesterday. So I'm guessing she already heard from the cops. Well yesterday in the middle of the day..about the time a meeting would let out...I get a call from the garage.

Hello....I have here that you had a briefcase stolen from your car full of cd's. We have it here. We found it on the stair well.

Needless to say....meeting...then I get my stuff back. including my ebay friendly face plate to my alpine. Interesting timing if you ask me.

Here is the funny part.

They stole 14 cd's. ALL RAP. and all of my more "urban" stuff. Like the Game, Wu Tang, DMX...stuff like that. They didn't touch talib kweli or the roots or Lyrics Born or any of that stuff..mr lif. Etc. They only stole the thug ****.

****ing bastards busted my window for 14 cd's. 14 freakin cd's. Cost me $250 for the window and tint. jacked up door panel and cost me a days work...all for $200 in cd's. Freakin rediculous man.

Stupid freakin thug punks. I hope to god someone catches them and calls the cops when they're done with them. I hope they read this damn board and go back after my car. I'll be waiting.

 

Yea I'm sure they found it on the stair well. ****ing bunch of theives. Let me know if you want copies of some of the CDs that got jacked. I'm sure I'll have some if not most of what was stolen. Sucks you had to spend $250 though.

New update. Aparently they did try to steal my cd player. Luckily my installer didn't know how to handle the install in the gauge pod so he screwed it into my dash. They couldn't get it out. But it's not working. I'm pulling it out today and giving it back to my buddy. He's gonna give me back my 7987 and I'm gonna put that in instead.


So......anyone that reads this knows a very very trustable installer that won't charge me freaking $70 an hour let me know.

I need my deck installed correctly. My box installed correctly and possibly an amp cover built.

at the very least I need my deck installed correctly in the gauge pod....the 7987 takes a bit of tweaking.

 

What is the deck in the gauge pod thing? Is this the deck install that replaces the dash clock?
I know how to do the deck install in the standard dash area, couldnt see it being too difficult to do the dash part.
I would be down to help you install your stereo stuff, maybe we can even find a way to get a woven cable on the CD deck shell to the dash frame.
I know how to run the cable for amps as well.
I am no pro, but our cars make stereo thieving possible in less then 30 seconds if you know what you are doing. =x

mcdrama..yeah my deck is installed on the dash in place of the clock..well in about 20 minutes here the clock will be back in temporarily and I'll be rolling stereoless.

yeah they clearly didn't know what they were doing. the pod was lifted up from the side..surprised it isn't broken. The installer didn't do a very good job on my deck.. imean they seriously could have stolen the deck in like 5 seconds. It wasn't even attached to the car...the mount was screwed into the dash so it made removeal of the dash pod difficult..that's what stopped it I think. So I guess I'm thankful for that. I want to figure out how to screw or wire down the deck in the future..anything to stall thieves lessens chances...

The 7987 has a larger face that folds out so it has to fit just right in the gauge pod. from what I've heard there are two options. Dremel the pod down...I don't want to do that. Or drill new holes in the metal deck housing so it sits a couple mm higher.

if anyone has done this...hook a brother up.

My amps are run. Everything is run. Just has to be hooked up correctly.

I am no pro, but I enjoy they learning process and challenge of this kind of stuff. =)
