I have an 08 WRX, almost 100,000 miles, no motor issues. There was a service bulletin that was released on gen 3 turbo motors dealing with a screen in the banjo fitting bolt on the oil line to the turbo, was getting clogged and starving the turbo then burning up. And correct me if im wrong, but I dont think they made an STI in 08, 1st was 09.

It's highly likely on the EJ257
Less likely but it does happen on the EJ255

LOL.
I think it's funny because if you remember the sti's sold out fast when they had 7,000 off MSRP. My brother waited and didn't get it because he thought he could score a white one, was offered 28.5 for a model with bbs but yeah it sold the next day before he figured out white was too difficult to get locally. Heuberger and others were selling them new for 28.XXX before tax/lic.
So I have to laugh at anyone who pays 25, that just sucks. Also you can buy a new sti for 1k under invoice so, meh 25k is a rip imo for something with high miles.
