cops aren't so bad after all..
I don't get this kind of thread. Don't get me wrong. I'm glad you didn't get a ticket. But if you did get a ticket for speeding, front tints, modified emission/exhaust, or something else - does that make a cop bad for doing his/her job?
To tell the truth, after spending some time in Asia, mostly Korea, and looking at how so many break traffic laws or vehicle laws, I'm actually glad we have CHP and cops enforcing the laws here in states. For example, over there, it is not uncommon to have difficult time breathing whenever a car pass you by due to uncontrolled emissions. Also, it's uncommon to find yourself walking by a few inches from moving cars because cars rarely stop for pedestrian unless they really have to. It was almost like cars first and pedistrian lost.
Anyway, I'm glad you didn't get in a trouble.
I'm not a cop. I just like to express a little bit of appreciation to cops over here in states.
Talking about cops here, I can't believe 200 Oakland officers will be cut. I work over there......sorry for a bit off track reply.

I hate to say this... but if this was a guy who posted this story, you would all bash him for the illegal stuff he was doing in public. If I logged on and posted... "so i was in a parking lot, launching the wagon earlier , got caught by a cop, who let me off." you would all bash me and tell me i deserved the ticket for my asshat actions in public.
Just saying.... if this was a guy ... this thread would be TOTALLY different with the responces being given.

btw, i think i saw your car at SPOCOM (or something like that) in san mateo a few weeks ago?on a side note, an empty parking lot doesn't seem THAT bad to mess around in. there are worse places to do it
I've had a few good experiences with SJPD. It really seems like it depends on the cop or what kind of mood there in. I got pulled over once because i had a bulb out. the cop then proceeded to ask me what kind of tires i was running and how much they cost and what exhaust i was running. He's probably on i-club.
