If you are a ramen lover, or just love seriously good Japanese food (the gyoza is ****ing ridiculously good as well) go to 151 E 49th St. the restaurant is called Ise. They have a Buta Miso Ramen that'll have you sniffling from it's delicious spicy pork broth, and crying from delight at how perfect it tastes. Not only is the food all top notch, but their sake selection was phenomenal. Wife and I went 2 or 3 times while we stayed at the Doubletree hotel on Lexington since it was 2 blocks walk away. We both still think of Ise, and wish we had one here exactly like it! It's not often you want to consider relocating to the opposite side of the country because of a restaurant. Enjoy your stay, and hope you find time to try Ise!

ill have to try ise before i leave. i went to ippudo yesterday for lunch and that was probably one of the best ramen ive ever had. i also ate at olive on 17th and park last night for dinner. i had the flat iron steak med-rare and that was also incredible. the clothing stores here are awesome. too bad i cant afford to buy everything. haha. blue in green has a crazy selection of rare japanese denim. well im about to take a stroll to run some errands and pick up a falafel pita.
