Contacting Vishnu

Anyone have a suggestion for how to get hold of Vishnu? I e mailed, phoned and faxed them even offering to buy something and no response. I wonder what their business plan is that lets them ignore potential customers

If you're local, just stop by. There are only 3 employees. One is always on the dyno (guess which one) and one is putting things in boxes to be shipped. Hence many phone calls and emails being missed.

I like their stuff, but trying forever to get a hold of someone and with their sudden price hikes and ....... oh their stuff never being in stock, I had to go with another vendor ....

That would be Tarte. And it doesn't help, trust me.

If you are within the region go in and talk to them. I went in and talked to shiv and everyone there. . . All great guys, just not as strong as other companys in the phone/email/fax department. Go in and ask for something they wait on you hand and foot.

I had my car dyno'd and ECUtek tuned from Vishnu.

They do good work there, but they NEVER get back to you when you have a question or even a SERIOUS problem!

That is an extremely poor way to run a business IMO and I doubt I'll do business with them again because of it. I mean, I gave them over $700 in business and I can't get an email returned when I have a problem? That's lame.

From what I've read here, it sounds like Vishnu is a small shop that may be experiencing growing pains.

Personally, I'm trying to decide between a Vishnu Stage sub-zero and Cobb AccessPort. I initially wanted to try to schedule an appointment with Vishnu, but I'm not so sure now. Pleasanton is really close to where I live, but from reading numerous posts on this board I'm not so sure it's the best option.

I need my car to get me to work and if the reflash creates problems that cannot be addressed quickly, I'm screwed. At least with AccessPort, you can uninstall the flash yourself.

Hmm...

I called Vishnu Monday afternoon and spoke with Ken after about 4 rings. Asked him a question that he had to relay to their fabricator. Ken called me back Tuesday afternoon with the answer.

Whenever I have called Vishnu, I've gotten service right away. Email has been a different story. I suggest calling several times during the day if no one answes the phone. I've been in the office when both Ken and Brett are on the phones and they can't always get to a third or fourth call right then. They are extremely busy, and while that's no excuse, it is how things are.

If you live nearby, you owe it to yourself to stop in and try to talk to Ken or Brett personally. Vishnu gets a bad service rep because, as wrXratd pointed out, they simply have more business and inquiries than they can handle. Vishnu's reputation as a premier Subaru/Evo/Miata tuner grew much faster than the business can. If you have the time to stop in and get a few words with Brett in between the 75 phone calls he answers everyday (that's his daily average after logging every call for 2 weeks while I worked there). You'll be able to judge for yourself whether or not Vishnu is worth doing business with far better than by some snippets of opinion on the internet.

My experience was that they were so busy when I was there that they just blew me off.
