F new Tacomas, and new Tundras are overkill IMO unless you have toys to haul aka unless you have $$$!
Actually the new Tacomas are pretty much like the older Tundras...why not get an older Tundra? Trucks are trucks, buy beaters and get the job done...theres no job a new truck can do that an old truck cant...besides saving gas
i love the mid 90's tacomas
the lastest gen Nissan Frontiers are cool too

if you sell your suby for a truck your ***** will fall off
- proven fact
no seriously though, why do you need a truck? a small truck doesnt hold a tun of stuff and after awhile, they aren't very fun to drive plus they don't get good gas milleage. They look kinda cool, but I do not think that would be a wise choice long term, I think you would really regret that

I really dont have any reason why I need a truck, other than the fact that I want a bigger vehicle. The suby carries pretty much all I need to carry and transport, and it takes me up to the snow with no worries.
I think I just want to get out of the car scene, thats why I want a truck.
Gas mileage is indeed bad, but not so far from a modified subie anyways.
Kyle, the older tundras are pretty nice too and I have been looking at them for a while.
Something like this truck.. toyota really did a nice job designing it.. so mean.

Well, a truck will be one heck of a change. Insurance might go up if you get a new Tundra, or down if you get an older Taco (Tacoma). The driving experience will be way different, your seating position will taking some getting used to b/c of the change in height, and parking will more likely be more strenuous. If you don't get a crew cab with four fullsize doors, you might not be as popular when it comes time to haul a bunch of people, but that could be a good thing.
IT just depends on what you are looking to get out of your own personal vehicle. I have to say, though, those new 5.7L are hot. Just for reference, a single cab short bed 2WD truck with that motor will do the quarter in under 15 seconds (maybe under 14, I don't remember). They don't look so bad either. For once, the Tundra actually is fullsize.
