And please don't tell me about selling the track car....I hope it doesn't come to that....
Just as a side question....when did everyone take the baby classes....as far as how far into the pregnancy, and how often did people go? As the first one of my friends to have kids (no pressure to anyone
) I haven't really asked what people did. My parents didn't have any of that so I can't ask them.

Dude...WHATEVA, I see what you're getting at! You'll be babysitting for my three girls soon enough, don't you worry!!!
Can I also say, this is one of the more upbeat threads that I have seen on the BAIC in a while...good times

I would recommend taking the classes as early as possible, especially the infant CPR class. I was on the same boat as you are, being the first in my group of friends to have a baby. I had nobody to get advice from. I relied a lot on Kaiser on what next steps to take. It worked out pretty well for us. We were definitely prepared for the birthing process and the subsequent monthes to follow. I recommend getting the "What to Expect When Expecting" and "What to Expect During the First Year" books. I could have never made it this far without those two books. I'll be around if you have more questions. The experience is still pretty fresh in my mind.

And they are very helpful....even the doctor said to get those because they cover a lot....so far they have been right on!
Get Baby Bargains and Baby 411, both by the same authors. The Baby Bargains book will tell you what not to waste your money on and also has reviews on everything.

How many other parents with young children on here? Do you want to share with WRX17 what other baby gear you bought for your Subies other than the "Baby on board" signs?

As a side note, the baby now gives me an excuse to get a Nikon D70 and a digital camcorder...
