Computer Help Needed
So, I bought a motherboard, processor, case, power supply, and RAM. My roommate and I put it together and when we turned it on everything lit up. the problem is that on the screen, no input signal is detected. The first motherboard didn't have a video input so I bought a graphics card. I then drove to Fry's, bought a new motherboard that had a video input and it still didnt work. There's also no POST beep after it is powered on. What could we have done wrong?
Thanks

1st mother board + Video card = did you make sure the you got the correct video card for the motherboard? also did the video card required a power cable connected to it?
2nd motherboard has integrated Video card??
also just make sure the monitor that you are pluging into is working?? lol... :P

the post beep not showing up could be the speaker isnt hooked up alot of new mobos have a speaker you have to plug into the motherboard.
it would really help to know what parts you bought.

if youve purchased a 2nd mb with integrated graphics then leave the graphics card off of it, plug in the video cable and boot. if it doesnt even post you either 1. defective board which i highly doubt or 2. ram is faulty or not even compatible with the board.
I concur with above statements. Use the fewest parts possible to turn it on and if it works start adding parts until you find the part that doesn't work. Ram could be bad or not seated properly (usually will give some type of post beep message) Bad Mobo (doubt since you have 2 different mobos) Power supply not big enough or you didn't plug all power connectors into mobo. Should have a 24 pin and a 4 pin going into the motherboard.

Did you make sure all power connections on the board are connected? ram is in the 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 slots and seated properly (you dont put the ram in the 1/2 or 3/4 unless your filling all 4 slots)? monitor is on the correct input?

Glad you figured it out dude.
