More proof that the olympics are totally lame. I haven't watched 1 minute of it.

Curling is actually pretty interesting if you sit down and try to understand its nuances. If you like billiards curling is actually pretty damn interesting. You use your stones to knock the opponent's stone out of a 12ft circle. Once the alloted stones are used points are counted by the number of stones you have over your opponents. EX. they have three, you have five, you pick up two points. The skill comes in not only knowing how to aim, but how much or how little pollishing of the ice needs to be done and how to set up blocks of your opponent's future moves. Plus the US women's curling team has a couple of hotties.

Yea they do. I watched it the first time the other day and saw them and was like damn these chicks are hot. The US men got whooped yesterday and now they are gonna have to play for Bronze. It took a little while to understand the terms and the scoring, but it is pretty interesting.

They are using the friction of the 'broom' to melt a very thin layer of the surface of the ice. In theory this reduces the resistance on the stone and allows it to slide farther.
