Compact Flash for Nikon D70
NewEgg.com has the Kingston 2GB Elite Pro CompactFlash Card for $144 - $30 rebate [Exp 2/28] + $5 shipping = $119 shipped.
BTW -- speed ratings don't matter much on digital SLRs, images are buffered first on the camera then written to flash.

I did a little research and it seems as though the Scandisk Ultra II and the Extreme III are the "fastest" (from a review I read on dpreview.com) It's nice to have a fast card.. Does anyone have experience with any of those cards on the D70?

kingston makes some cheap CF cards as well. try www.froogle.com
I use a 1gb sandisk ultra II with my DR, it's fast enough for what I need.. if you're getting a camera that can bust more FPS, the write speed would really come in handy...
the faster it writes, the faster the buffer clears, the faster you can take more pictures...

I use Lexar's 80X (WA) 1 gig and 2 Sandisk 512 Ultra II's in my D70.
Since the frame rate is buffered, you can used just about any mem card, with minimal loss of speed...But go really cheap and it's definately noticable.
- g'luck!

Maku, great find! Do you find that you can take 3 frames per second with no problem what so ever?
