i think the current subaru commercials are cool. Lance Armstrong is a cool spokesperson for subaru.

Its commercial, not comerical...

I think Subaru was better off with the older commercials. The new ones are good at directing towards a specific audience but not everyone has heard of Lance Armstrong, actually I hadnt either until the commercials came out. I think that if Subaru was to expand their marketing targets they should do something funny... or at least a bit more memorable. You cant walk out on the street and ask someone about the subaru commercial, but if you go up to someone and say "Can you hear me now?" they would know exactly what they are talking about.... as annoying as that guy is, he works and thats why they continue to use him in all their commercials. No offense to Lance but hes just not popular enough for a growing company... that is if Subaru plans on keeping the market in just one spot. I could be wrong.

just my 2¢

Not sure about all the Lance stuff, but I definitely think Subaru's depiction of the WRX as an all weather high performance car is right on the mark. Awesome shots of the silver sedan drifting in gravel, and flashes of the rally car doing what it does best. Personally, I hate goofy commercials (for anything), I hate to think my brain is so soft that I am sold by some geeky, goofy waste of intelligence like that Verizon moron. Just the facts, ma'am, just give me the facts. Even Porsche has resorted to this humorous, light-hearted cheese for marketing their vehicles (some of THE most serious performance cars out there??). For pet food, sure, I used to love the Whiskas parrot standing next to the starving cat chomping in his bowl of vittles, but for cars, let the facts sell them.
