I've used both dsl and cable for internet, and in my personal expereince, comcast cable is significantly faster than what dsl has to offer.


However, i have little experience with Att's television programs compared to comcast. Any opinions?

I like ATT comcast cost a ****load of money.. my att internet is like 15$ a month, when i had comcast that **** was like 74$ big time rip off too b/c when you're on at night, so is everyone else, you know what that does? it slows down your internet!!!!! comcast is probably 1.5/2.0 times as fast as ATT for the package i had.

I don't care about d/ling a movie in 30minutes i can wait 2 hours. I usually pull 400-500kbps on utorrent.

And yes i download a lot of movies and play computer games, ATT is fine and way cheaper.

 

i guess everyone has a different situation... for me, I don't need a land line and I had it only because of DSL. cable TV comes with my HOA, so I don't have to pay for that. so DSL ended up costing more money than comcast internet. AND MUCH FASTER, even at night. but most importantly, att was giving me problem for 1.5-2 years and I finally got fed up with went with comcast instead.

from what i've gathered so far, it's really location dependent and folks around you. I say give comcast a try first since there is no contract. if you don't like it in a month or two, jump to att. gl!

 

Comcast's cable leaves much to be desired compared to AT&T and Dish.

Their internet though, has almost no rival...until Verizon unleashes their FiOS network.

 

if you are talking about at&t's U-verse it is frecking sweet!! I have it and love it. so much better them comcast! I have had mine for 4 months and LOVE it, so many channels and the picture quality is the best I have ever seen. Talk to this guy names Jose, or Chris in San mateo at&t store and they will set you up for a great price.

 

I pay $40/month for my AT&T dsl at 3Mb/s. It never has random slowdowns. I don't do much downloading, the most bandwidth intensive stuff I do is Netflix streaming and its always fine.

I would probably enjoy comcasts faster speed but since I pay the at&t bill, its always on. The roomie pays the comcast bill..and thats not always on, feh.
