Naw, that was flipmode's thing about excluding pros from the X games, which is pretty much just a big paid exposition for pro extreme atheletes in the first place.

Exclude the pros and there'd be nobody left.

But I'm with you in the Pat Rchard (and Natalie) fan club, you'd be hard pressed to find a nicer guy in the top tier of any race series.

I don't know of any "pro" rally drivers in the US, despite the support they get from VSC and SA, Travis and Ken are a couple of guys who made their fortunes in other endevors so they, more than most of the rest of the rallyists in the US, are able to devote their efforts to the entire national championship series.

I wouldn't even consider Colin a pro anymore as he hasn't had a paid WRC ride in what, like almost 3 years now?

All in all I'm just glad to see rally in the USA getting some mainstream exposure, despite it being coordinated with the "other" sanctioning body.

Travis doesn't have a chance for WRC. He's a poster boy for Subaru. Ken is a way better driver. He could have smoked him at RIM. Subaru team strategy was obviously to have Ken sandbag the entire rally. Hence why they finished 1/2 with little to no time between them.

OK, so I guess being out running car zero, I wasn't privvy to all the team orders that apparently you were.

I'll have to ask Ken next time I see him how much he enjoys "sandbagging" rallies for his teammate to soak up all the glory

I wasn't privvy to any information. It doesn't take a genius to figure it out.

Sort of looked like sand bagging to me.

Side note: if McRea falls short in the Xgames to Pastrana you know something is up. I'm telling you he's a marketing poster boy.

How does a 1:18 difference over nearly 100 stage miles amount to sandbagging?

by that reasoning the third place guy must have been sandbagging too since he was just a couple minutes behind Ken.

Travis might be a marketing poster boy but he has proven many times in his short carreer at it that he can drive the crap out of those cars, or else he wouldn't qualify for the poster boy position

When you start turning in stage times within a couple minutes of Travis, maybe then I'll listen to what you are saying
