I had an 18g that didn't make much power. Are you running an intake? If not consider buying one. The OEM intake proved to be restrictive enough to limit power. I installed the SPT intake and it starting hitting target power levels. CHeck it out. It might sovle your problem.

No kidding ! Heck, last Saturday I had the wife take the Mazda to Ducky's ( andI NEVER have anyone else touch my cars!) just because it was too cold to wash.
