Which coilovers tolerable on Bay Area roads?

So I have V7 STi takeoffs, and I love them. I want to go lower however, and stay properly damped.

Are their any coilovers that I could still commute 40 miles on and not have my fillings rattled out? What would you guys recommend? Or should I just go for an Eibach/KYB setup?

Might have some sti suspension for sale soon.

i have the hks hipermax 2 coilovers and they are very tolerable for daily driving. Only downside is that they are single hieght adjustable. It really depends on your price range though. If i was buying new for street i would go with the cusco zero 2's. Also maybe look into the jic flta'2 that are US spec, im not really a fan of jic stuff but ive heard some good stuff about these and they wont blow as easy over harsh stuff.

What does that mean anyway, one-way height adjustment?

I want to spend as little as possible, of course.

2 way height adjustable coilovers can be pretty much slammed and still have the same shock travel. With single height adjustable coilovers once you get past a certain point the travel is shortened. My car isn't slammed so its not really a problem but if you want a really really low car its something to think about.

I hear the TEIN HG's are great on Bay Area roads, Stratos had them.

One day I will own a set...

some guy on the prelude forums did a test on the JIC FLTA2s, and the results were crap. "supposedly" the jics have something like 15 different damping setting etc. He checked each of the dampings, and found on there was very little or no difference on the settings. Why pay over 2k for some coilovers that barely change any damping at all? My future set up for my car would be some konis w/ a gc sleeve setup.

Zeal, Endless coilovers are sweet!!!! Expensive but sweet. You can make them feel like you are in a Cadi, but also use them for the track. Thats my next set of coilovers.

-freddie

edit:
ps. also my Cusco Zero2R's are pretty good as far as comfort. I love them. Definately not as stiff as the JIC, or Tein. My Cuscos are awesome on the track, and twisties too.

i have tein ss coilovers, and i think they are just what i wanted, i want some coilovers that i can lower the car and make stiffer or softer, but not worrry about all of the crazy setting and stuff!

a nice street setup, and they are pretty cheap

I'm thinking KYB AGX and prodrives/eibachs are really what I want. Functional drop, and damping to match.
