Clifford 2 way remote start installation help!

i just bought a 2 way clifford alarm today from frys and i was wondering if anybody knows where i can get my remote start installed? I'm getting everything else installed at frys on Wednesday but not the remote start because my car is a manual which they won't install it. also i live in el sobrante bay area and if anybody knows a shop that does it nearby then it will be much appreciated!

all pro audio in santa clara did my remote start on the manual. It isn't illegal if the laws on it are followed. Call them up and ask for Jim. (408) 244-5577

Yea, there are a few alarms that have a safety on manuals, just won't start up while in gear.

ask Daios a member here, he can assist you, tell him I sent you, he can "help" you, with a mandatory monetary donation for his services. might be cheaper than a shop as he is not a hsop, just a hobbiest/enthusiast just helping out others.

He installed 3 alarms on 3 of my vehicles, with remote start, all manual.

When I worked at circuit city, we would never do a customer's car with a manual. just too much of a liability. but it didnt stop my coworker from doing it to my car. he put a safety switch in so if I do not want to remote start or turbo time the car, i just switch it off.

i heard of other installers putting a metal plate around the shifter so if its in any gear besides neutral, the alarm can 'sense' the car is in gear and wont remote start.

your best bet is to find someone that will do it for cash, but if a shop can do it, go for it

Just a friendly reminder. (Your avatar looks like an 06-07 and am gonna assume thats what your driving)

If you wanna do the remote start, your gonna need to fork over a spare key and have some module (forgot part #, maybe it was included in your purchase) to bypass the chip in your key when you remote start your car.

sti's and wrx's (not sure about nonturbos) have neutral position sensor wire at the ecu, i've installed 3 cars using that as a failsafe and it has saved me many, many times.

any standalone car audio/alarm shop worth their salt should be able to handle this for you. my advice would be to have the same place do everything if possible. everyone installs alarms a little bit differently, so you may end up with wiring mess on top of wiring mess. i hope not for your sake, just sayin...
