Ug, is crime really that low to where they feel the need to site people for loud exhaust?
Reminds me of the time I got pulled over by the CHP while riding my mountain bike... Yeah, you heard right. I got an $80 ticket for riding my bicycle while wearing headphones!
Damn cop cut across 3 lanes of traffic so that he could cut me off (which almost made me crash!). Worthless CHP pigs.
There's really nothing worse then CHP. City cops are so much cooler then lame *** CHP.

they changed the correctable thing right when i got my mod emissions ticket too.
and about the objects on the windshield thing, does that mean no radar detectors can be mounted there as well?

i can recall an old CHiPs episode on this too.
1. since bicycles are treated like any other vehicle on the road, they are ticketed like any other vehicle.
2. there is a law on the books (and this is from the CHiPs episode), that you cannot have both ears covered while driving...
Vehicle Code section 27400:
A person operating a motor vehicle or bicycle may not wear a headset covering, or earplus in, both ears. The doesn't apply to emergency vehicles, a person engaged in construction equipment for highway maintenance, a garbage collector, noise attenuators, or prosthetic devices to help the hard of hearing.

Radar detectors are legal in California, IF they are mounted to something other than the windshield. Mine is dash mounted on the clock pod, have never been given a hard time for it.
I got pulled over while riding my motorcycle (gsf1200 4-2-1 header & small 2 bros pipe) for it being too loud. I had an argument with him about how I made it loud because of the many times I get cut off because people dont see me. HE GAVE ME THE TICKET ANYWAY! I had a SCPD motorcop I know sign it off without having to change anything because he AGREED WITH ME, its safer!! I hate CHP! Replace them with traffic cameras!!
