i have a chip of paint on my rear quarter panel and over time it has rusted.

its smaller than a dime and barely noticeable but it has come to my attention this past week and i want to get it fixed.

From my research, I've come to the conclusion that the rust must to be removed before the paint can be applied.

sanding down a minute surface area is kinda difficult and I am worried about scratching the surrounding area with perfect paint. I've found this Rust Converter online which I am skeptical about:

Any pros out there for input?

i was thinking of just applying subaru pen ink after i get rid of the rust somehow.

I plan on doing it myself so no need for input on shops that will charge me 300 dollars.

Kragen sells that stuff. I think pepboys to most any autobody store sells it =D.
