Chick-fil-A

Paging Aaron.

Looks like they are opening up not just 1, but 2 Chick-fil-A's locally.

Mowry Avenue Chick-fil-A: Fremont, CA 94538 - Mowry Avenue (across from Denny's) is scheduled to open later this month (1/29/15).

"The architectural design is similar to the 4,933-square-foot Chick-fil-A at 5245 Mowry Ave., scheduled to open on Jan. 29 at 6:30 a.m.

At the grand opening, the first 100 adults in line will win a free meal every week for a year. There will be a disc jockey and other activities, said Dan Kosin, owner and operator of the Mowry Avenue restaurant."

The second location looks to be currently slated for 5539 Auto Mall Parkway.

I never got the hype, I tried that place in Sacramento. It was...ok, nothing to write home about, a 6 out of 10..perhaps a 7. I won't not go, but I won't go out of my way to try and find one.

But cool they are opening a few more up.

It is a much bigger chain in more Southern/Eastern states. I have not been to one until couple months ago...and could not see what the big deal is.

Everyone told me they have OMFG bestest chicken sammiches. Bull****, greasy *** fast food is greasy regardless of the fast food sign hanging on the door. Was is (relatively speaking) better than, says, McDonnalds or Taco Bell? Sure. Would I bother going unless it was my only/most convenient option? Probably not. But to each their own.

I love their store, had 'em a few times up in Fairfield. Compared to any other chicken, including any companies nuggets these are actually real chicken, no batter crap.

Ya, I don't get what the hype is all about. They make decent chicken, it's nothing special. Chicken is pretty boring to begin with.

Another thing I don't get. I tried it. Once. And my teeth hurt for 3 days.

I don't see the point. Just eat sugar straight out of the darn bag. #NoWonderMuricaIsObese

Bojangles is way better than this but that's more of an east coast thing. I never really got the hype of here either.

Note to self, don't use Mowry on way to or home from the office that day.

Between the hype, the lines of cars, the crowds, and likely a few protesters my way to my office is gonna be gridlocked.

**Ditto on the food quality lately. Haven't been in forever so went to the one in Santa Clara, left feeling meh.
