Finally finished my website, I built it myself. Take a look, share it with your friends and I'd love any insight so I can improve it. Thanks in advance!

I dont think you need to list your gear. Look into getting an umbrella for your flash
What is the point of your website (do you want people to see it and hire you ect) ? Who is your target audience? Your photography is going to be portraits, landscape, automotive and sports?
How old are you BTW 12 years old D200 2006 -2012 6 years I am guessing 16-18 (depending how old it was when you used it)?

Took me a second to find the menu as well. My connection at work is a little slow and it took a long time for the images to load. To the point that I gave up and did not want to view the page anymore.
I get fed up with webpages that are too complex and don't want to do business with the people. Not that yours was too flashy, just a warning.
Here is a prime example:
http://www.rickhernsproductions.com/
I used to work for Rick. His old webpage was very simple and clean. His new one makes me want to smash the screen and rip the speakers off the wall.

Agreed. Same thing here at my work. The connection is too slow for the webpage to load. It also looks like a picture in the upper right of the screen was blocked by a my virus software.

Really nice. I like the set up. One of the few sites I've seen where you get such a large image to look at.
But coming from a long time designer... initial load up is a tad slow and hiding the menu is clever but annoying. I was like... wtf.. is the site broken...
That is the last thing you want people to think.
You have to think about your average HR person. They're reviewing hundreds of resumés. If you make the cut and they take the time to look at your stuff they're gonna be looking at 20 or more sites. They're gonna go quick. If they have to think about it they might plug in the next site... lost the job. It's that easy. Most jobs you apply for you're talking 50 applicants minimum and at any reputable shop you're talking about HUNDREDS.
Put some kind of an arrow or something. Or a house icon or something. Something obvious but not obnoxious or destructive to your design. You could integrate it with your overlay. Right now it just looks like a design element and the site looks busted or like it's just a landing site.
Just my two bits. Nice stuff though.
