cheap parts
Does anyone know of a wrecker or salvage yard in the SACRAMENTO AREA that has subaru cars that i could pull a part from? For a 2001 impreza 2.5rs car. I am looking for an oil breather hose. A short s shaped hose that attaches to the middle of the air filter housing. Went to get a smog checked and they found that hose was cracked. They told me i need to get it replaced before they do a smog check. I am new to sacramento area and would appreciate the help.

They gave me the part for free. To get it from the dealer probably would have cost me $20.00 and 3 weeks or so to get it.
They had an h6 engine there. I was wondering if i could fit in my 2.5rs. probably not. They had an 2.5 engine with the timing belt cover off. It was cool to see timing belt, tensioner and inner workings. They also had another 2.5 engine that was apart. Doesn't look hard to completely tear down an engine and completely rebuild it. thanks for saving me some $ and time kostamojen

No problemo! They gave me a free tranny mount the other day too, good stuff.
As for the H6, yes it is possible to fit the EZ30 into an Impreza, theres a couple posts by Anders over on the conversion forum on NASIOC about how he put a EZ30 into his ~93 Impreza. Took some coaxing, but it works!!! Personally im waiting for the EZ30-R
