Ya they might not pass a fmic, rotated turbo ect... but still if you're going to be running that much of a set up, you KNOW you're going to have to smog the car eventually
a stock regular car is what they are going to be running it on
and if you dont have a carb number on the cats it should not have passed the ref
but YAY!!
you did thats awesome when i got my ref ticket it would have costed me 500-600$ under the table to have mine pass
I really doubt they are goign to check your fuel pump, injectors, ect JUST for a smog check...

environment my ***. **** CA carb laws........ and **** those guys whos busting. stupid dumb **** prob doesnt even know **** about cars, only experience she's ever had was reading about a car in a book.
the real inconsistency with jurisprudence here is that these alleged perpetrators are going to get prison terms (i read in one article), when there are criminals of actual heinous violent crimes that aren't convicted or aren't even charged with their crimes simply due to police or judicial **** ups. "getting off on a technicality" so to speak.

my car is modded and tuned I have been on a sniffer twice in the last 2 years and I would pass no problems!!! and yes I have a hi-flow cat and if they ever do a dyno pull for awd then I probably not pass.... maybe I dont know but as of 4 months ago I was clean without a bunch of carb bull****! It just a way to make more money and keep the little guys from producing aftermarket stuff they cant pay for the certification for...california sucks as far as smog goes and so does arnold!!!!
If your car can pass a sniffer who cares what the visual looks like!

pass the sniffer yes it could / should / would pass
im not going to argue that
but passing carbs tests i dont think so
i agree with you its bs and hard for small aftermarket companies to do business
SEMA should fight harder
btw they are thinking of making place install 4wd dynos
