The E815 is a far better phone, and incredibly hackable if you like that sort of thing.

http://www.phonescoop.com Go there and read the reviews on both. I think they're both good phones, but don't know if the 815 suffers from the motorola laggy software.

wow nothing but good review for the motorola there...thanks view...

Just as an aside: my LG phone's speaker just died so now its unusable...this is 2 months after my 2 years with verizon expired...Anyone think its possible that verizon somehow sent out a code that disabled the speaker?

Also, do you guys tend to like verizon?

Unlikely about the speaker failure.

I love Verizon. I always get reception everywhere and it's crystal.

I like Verizon. I don't think I really "love" any of the wireless carriers, since they're charging me (now if it were free, that would be a different story )

But I guess the reception is ok. I think it depends on where in the city you are. Unfortunately, I'm near Mt. Sutro tower and the reception kinda sucks where my apartment is. But elsewhere, it's fine.

Like View Askew said, check out the reviews on both and then decide. I personally just got the Treo 650 and am loving the phone.

I'm a huge verizon fan. Also, I have the LGvx6100, I like the phone a lot, but, I did however, suffer the same speaker failure spoken of above. It was, thankfully, before my service plan was up. *laugh* They replaced it with no questions asked.

The only places I don't have reception are places that no one does.

Hello, I sell wireless phones and I carry both models at my store. The 815 is definately a much more reliable phone, but if you plan on taking advantage of verizon's full v-cast features definately go with the LGVX8100, Streaming video is much smoother and extra buttons make it easier to use with v-cast. I haven't had any problems with the 8100 yet, but then again it is newer to the public.
