damn preston just go to any chinese owned phone shops... they give you madd hookups but after you buy the phone... they dont give a damn anymore

 

what? Where did you learn this?! I want a new phone with that works on Verizon, preferably the new motorola. Know of a place?

 

Verizon will not take unlocked import phones, so youre stuck with whatever verizon makes available, unlike the GSM networks.

Not true. You can get Alltel phones on to Verizon. AMP'd mobile also uses verizon, and I think Helio does as well.

what phone are you thinking of? the KRZR K1M? whatever phone you get if it is unlocked just make sure that is CDMA

u can get the sony ericcson w810i.

has radio with RDS, plays just about any type of music file

if you buy unlocked version, u get 512mb of memory.

if u buy cingular USA's version u get watered down piece of crap.

 

w810. that's the phone i've been wanting for a while.. i went to cingular and they said it would be $200 w/ a two year service. i rather wait till something better comes out

They have the phone for $20 with a 2 year contract.

 

goto a chinese store... im pretty sure you can get teh w810 free after contract. I got the w850 a week after it came out for 100.

 

i would have went to a chinese store and got a new plan and the phone for free, but i'm still on an ATT family plan from yeaaars ago. It can't be beat, I get like unlimited cingular2cingular, unlimited nights/weekends, and 400-600 daytime minutes. all for like 20 bucks a month or something like that. plus no charge on receiving text messages and 5 or 10 cents for sending one.

i used to have nokia, but i wanted something with a little more fun in it, so i got the unlocked w810i for 333 bucks. yeah...expensive, but i love this phone so far.

usually i'd recommend against getting SE phones, since they have a noteriety of being crappy, but we'll see what happens... if you want a good reliable phone, samsung and nokia are your good choices.
