Question Cell Phone Guys: Mytouch 4G Slide?

Anyone heard anything on the new T-Mobile MyTouch 4G Slide?
It's time for a new cell phone and I'm eyeing this one very closely. It's not offically released yet so I can't put my hands on it. Upgrading from a T-Mobile G1. In general, seeing good reviews but would like to see if anyone has an inside track.
Will probably order from Wirefly as they are $100/phone cheaper than T-Mobile direct.

Requirements:
  • Any new phone must have a physical keyboard,
  • I like android and since my whole life is pretty integrated with Google it seems like a good idea to stay that way.
  • It seems silly to buy anything that will not support 4G technology
  • Free Wifi Calling - my home has crappy reception from all Cell carriers

Thoughts and opinions are welcome...
I am aware of the proposed AT&T merger... but it's not approved yet and AT&T will have to grandfather Tmobile contracts regardless.

i was like you too, ALWAYS NEEDING physical keyboard. until I got the HD2, huge screen, i can prob type as fast if not faster than physical qwerty keyboard and ive ALWAYS had keyboards on all my previous phones.

and i put gingerbread android on hd2, thats why those phones still so expensive because of their capabilities to run a bunch of OS. also its one of the best phones that allow the use of $5-10 UNLIMITED DATA PLANS FROM TMO.

i had the mytouch 3g slide, again the only reason i let it go and not upgrading to new phones is because i dont want to let go of my <$10 unlimited data, no matter what other service tries to tell me how bad tmo is and comparing their plan, its hard to beat $10 data. just stuck with limited phones.

but to get back on topic, I would get that 4g slide if i had your requirements, because my requirements back then was exactly like yours

Wait till later in August when Samsung releases the Galaxy S 2!. Its identical to the Samsung Infuse from AT&t.

1.2GHZ Dual Core Processor. 8MP Camera with Flash, 4.5inches. Android phone. A quadrant Standrad Test results were in the 3,000s too.

I use the Galaxy S 4G right now, until the next one is released in a month or two.

I couldn't stand it anymore... ordered the phone from wirefly a min ago. They have their 30 day guarantee so if I really hate it I can send it back.
Compared to my G1 (the phone that Google forgot) I'm sure I'll be stoked.
