CAUTION: Patterson Pass Rd. Construction (July 08)

Just a word of caution. I was driving West-bound on PP (from Tracy into Livermore) and came upon a construction site at the summit. They were moving 18-wheelers (single and double trailer) in and out of the area from the Livermore side.

I was lucky, I passed the first one on a wide part of the one-lane section going down into Livermore. I passed 6 more before hitting Greenville Rd. in Livermore. They were pretty much consuming the entire one-lane road.

Map-> So, I'd suggest being very cautious in the one-lane section between the summit and Cross Rd.

I'll have to remember this. That's my alternate route if there is an accident on the Altamont.
